Stump shooting up Lambs Canyon while Matt and Jeff Scouted for Elk

Matt and Jeff invited me to go stump shooting with them since I just bought my first re curve bow. I was pretty excited to join them . We were driving up this tiny one car rd with very steep mountains on both sides of us. We got to the parking lot and Jeff and Matt started heading off trail..I wanted to stay on trail but since they were scouting I understood.

OK so this picture above shows a mushroom and also the angle we were hiking up in all this dead 3'' deep foliage. Fun stuff to hike in. ;)

I'm sorry I take so many pictures of the flowers but I don't know what else to take pictures of? Any suggestions? LOL
Once we got out of all the thick forest pines and such..we came out of them to fields of flowers and green hillsides. It was so beautiful.

Matt and Jeff were scouting at the top.

Friday Matt was off from work and decided to go hike up to this same spot at like 6 in the morning to go scouting again to see if anything was out and a good spot to hunt. He was hiking up a game trail & 3/4 of the way to the top he was looking out over the hill side and looked down and there was a Moose antler that was like a 5 point..Pretty cool huh. Well he kept on hiking the trail. He came across a Momma Moose and her Baby. He thought that was really cool to come across. And about 20 Min's later he came across the other side to the Moose's antler! So Cool. It was a 6 point on the right side. I thought it was really neat he had found the set in different spots on the hill. When He got home and I saw what his "Surprise" was..lol..and held one of them and it is a heavy antler..and both of em together was like 10-12 lbs a piece. Super cool. I will take a picture of the rack and post it so you all can see. I bet your all so excited.
