I still do not have a picture of little Jonah, still wanted to welcome the little guy into our family. I waited all day to hear the news from Amy. She came to my house around 10:30, dropped off the kids and then headed to the hospital. I was expecting her to call a just a couple hours later. Not the story though. She had some small complications and had to wait until 4 or 5 and then she was given her epidural..not sure of the time. But as we were all anxiously waiting up and Dad and Moms we all started giving up hope around 10, that we would meet our new little one that night.
I went home and just as I looked at my bed to get into it I get the message that little Jonah was here. I got all excited again and went right back up to the parents house to pick up Peter and headed to the hospital. Once there it was just the waiting game all over again. We were greeted by the Ambler side of the family and was able to hang out in the waiting room with them and heard stories and got caught up on each others lives. Only 2 people were able to go visit Amy and Ben in the delivery room and by my turn Little Jonah has some breathing problems that they had to take care of right away and so I didn't get to meet him. I did get to see Amy and follow up with her on how everything went. Asked some questions so I was a bit more prepaired for my turn on bringing Autumn into the world. And then I was kicked out of the room again and back tot he waiting room for Michelle and Peter to get their turn on visiting Amy. They though were lucky enough to see little Jonah as they were transferring Amy to her recovery room. They both finally came out (like an hour later) ( I was their ride home) and they told me they got to see the cute little guy. I was happy for them to get that chance to see him.
I though was pretty tired at that time my in laws were staying at my home that night and so I finally walked in the door around 1:00 that morning. Woke up pretty excited around 7:00 and visited with Bart & Kristy and got to see some of my nephews who I love so much. They brought us out for breakfast and got to hang out for a little bit. Once they dropped me off I went right to the car and headed straight to the hospital. I finally got to hold little Jonah for about 5 minutes before he was taken again to have his blood sugar tested. Poor little guy had johndus(sp)...and his blood pressure was not stabilized. they took him into intensive care to make sure everything was ok. I can't remember if I got to see him again that morning but I went back the following evening and got to see him in the intensive care with Amy and her mother in law for some short time.
Wow, I cant believe I am writing all this. I better finish instead of just deleting it all. Well Amy was able to head to my Parents house and stay there and made the traveling time a bit quicker instead of going into slc or west valley where they live. So I have been able to go up and visit them at the Moosmans for some time and hold the little cutie! It has been nice and hopefully Amy is recouping well and ready to bring the family back together at their home. What a great little Family they have. So excited for the new addition to their family. Will be so fun to have little Tucker and Jonah around the same age as Autumn. Love our family and life!
