Alright, since Amy hasn't posted yet about what happened yesterday I will. She came over to my house to help me sew a few things together. While she was feeding Jonah I was ironing facing her and able to see out the front window and watch the cars drive by. I could see the back side of Amy's car and all of a sudden I see her brake lights on and as I was asking her if she left her lights on her car dove off. And that's when I told her your car is being stolen. I quickly called 911 and got in my car and drove around seeing what I could see.
I never saw anything else, but like 5-10 minuets later the dispatcher called back and wanted to let us know that they think they have the car and will call us back to give more info. So we were hanging out and praying that nothing happened to the car and they actually did get the guy. (When the dispatcher called they said the guy fled on foot when he was pulled over.) So we could only hope that the car was ok.
Well the dispatcher called back and asked us if we could go identify the car and have someone drive it home. My Mom and I went to get it. The police man told my mom that they had seen him on HWY 89 and followed him into salt lake. They pulled him over and he fled. But one of the officers caught him. So that was great news that the guy was caught. My Mom had said when she got into the car that the guy used like a spoon thing to shove into the ignition to start it. Amy had her car locked and keys on her. Nothing was left in the car. she had her wallet and all so that was relieving to know.
When my mom drove the car back they then asked Amy what was her's and what wasn't. The things that wasn't hers was the baseball bat, a bottle of beer, Cd's, a couple radios and a potato (later to find out that it had pot in it). So that was that. My neighbor said she saw the whole thing but the guy that broke into Amy's car drove up in a different car parked his car and went up to Amy's (not knowing it was my sisters or anyone elses...just thought it was his) and started jiggling the handle opened it and went back to the car he drove up in grabbed the bat and a couple other items got into Amy's car and drove off. She then saw me drive out and after him and she didn't think of calling the police. Not cool. Any ways. Glad that they have their car back and nothing was damaged.
Just really happy that the guy was caught. He will be getting hit with a lot. He stole the other car he drove up in. Will get something for steeling Amy's car. Also having drug paraphernalia and running from the cops. Hope he learned a little something. Just glad we saw it when we did and reported it. It could have turned out a lot worse. Ugh...just hate that this happened in front of my home. The guy that stole the car was from Rose-park. He just saw a nicer Honda than he was driving and thought that was what he wanted to drive.
