My little baby has been a little sick the past week with a super runny nose. I thought it would pass and everything would end up being OK. This morning when I got Autumn out of bed, her temperature was super high and she was acting super tired still. So i gave her a bottle like every morning and when she was done she was still super tired. I decided to go see if she would want to lay back down in her bed and when I did she fell right asleep...weird. So we went through this cycle of getting her up, trying to give her some fluids and food and nothing would work. I started getting really worried when she would lift her head and didn't have any strength to hold it up and let it fall on my shoulder and really acting out of it.
I rushed to the doctors and they checked her heart rate, which was off the charts and setting off the alarms on the machine since she was startled by everything going on and not knowing why she didn't feel well. Her heart rate finally went down to a safer level and we started checking her out. She has a severe ear infection in her left ear and also has a high fever. The doctor said it like he was unconcerned and didn't consider that this may be a first time thing happening and I needed to be reassured that she would be feeling better soon... which he didn't say anything about anything besides when I asked him what he found out. Some people.
Autumn is already feeling and looking so much better! I guess that's what happens when you give her 3 different pain relievers and something to fight the ear infection. I hope she sleeps deep and her little body fights off any viruses and infections. Hope to see a smiling little baby when I see her in the morning.
